This is a mandatory 2-day in-person training for all administrators.

The topic, location, and time of this event will be announced at a later date.

The trainings will run June 4 & 5 or June 10 & 11, 2024. Lunch will be on your own.

Our next ELD meeting is Dec. 14 in the Auxiliary Services Building Auditorium from 1-3 p.m. There will be resources, tools and strategies shared. We also have ELD Meetings scheduled for March 7 and May 9.

Please give time during your faculty meetings after for your ELD lead to share the information.  For additional questions, please contact your Teacher Specialist or Michelle Love-Day in Language and Culture Services.

The Administrative Leadership Conference for ALL administrators is going to be held on August 6, 2024 and August 8, 2024. Everyone plan to participate on both days.

Your Assignments for the SSH Committee Schedule are on the attached document. Please make every effort to attend on your assigned day. If there are any conflicts with your schedule please contact Janie Hyde, 801-567-8326 as soon as possible. We look forward to serving with you!

The Annual Jordan School District Administrative Leadership Conference is this Tuesday, August 1st, 2023 at JATC-South 12723 Park Ave, Riverton, UT 84065. The conference agenda is attached.

Please take note of the following items:
*A light breakfast will be served at 7:30 a.m.
*Bring a fully charged electronic device in order to access conference materials and level specific items.
*In addition to the main parking in front of the building, the side parking lot will be opened to allow for additional space.  We would encourage teams to carpool as they are able.

 

The Annual Jordan School District Administrative Leadership Conference is scheduled for Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at the JATC-South, 12723 Park Avenue in Riverton. Full-time Administrative Interns (paid) assigned to your building are also expected to attend. The announcement is attached.

The first Principal meeting is also scheduled for Thursday, August 3, 2023.

Principals:

We have scheduled two separate training sessions on the operation of the school’s security camera and software. The training will include the use of the software, saving of camera footage and the transferring of that footage to the appropriate device. We receive many requests for help in this area.

The training will be held on March 1, 2023.

Session 1:  9:00-10:00 am
Session 2:  1:00-2:00 pm

Both sessions will be held at the Auxiliary Service Building in the Presentation Room, enter at Entrance C. It is recommended that at least one administrator per building attend one of the sessions and if possible send one hall monitor to each session.

February School Psychologists & School Psychology Interns Meeting


A meeting for school psychologists and school psychology interns has been scheduled for Friday, February 3, 2023, from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. The meeting will be held in the auditorium of the Jordan School District Auxiliary Services Building (7905 South Redwood Road). Sam Goldstein, Ph.D., ABPP, Neurology, Learning and Behavior Center will provide us with a presentation on Understanding, Evaluating, and Treating Disruptive Mood Dysregulation Disorder (DMDD) in Children, including a review of diagnostic criteria, differential diagnosis and assessment, treatment, and resources.

Part-time Staff:  I would appreciate it if you could adjust your schedules in order to attend this meeting.

You are invited to attend the annual Jordan School District Administrative Leadership Conference, “Leaders These Days” scheduled on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at Mountain Creek Middle, 5325 W. Bingham Rim Road, in South Jordan. Additional parking is available at the neighboring church to the west and at Golden Fields Elementary.

The conference will follow a full-day format. We will begin in the auditorium at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday after a light breakfast, which will be provided starting at 7:30 a.m. Lunch will be provided, and the meeting will adjourn by 3:45 p.m. Interns assigned to your building are invited to attend. An in-person meeting has been scheduled for Friday, May 6, 2022, from 12:00 to 3:30 p.m. at a different location, Jordan Applied Technology Center-South (JATC-South) (12723 S. Park Avenue {2080 W}). Superintendent Anthony Godfrey is providing us with lunch on that day and would like to address our group promptly at 12:00 noon. I would appreciate you being on time for him. Lisa Stillman, school psychologist at Monte Vista Elementary and Naomi Varuso, school psychologist at Copper Canyon Elementary will provide us with a presentation on Wellness Rooms.

Rebecca Cramer, school psychologist for Autism Assessment, will provide us with a presentation on autism in girls. In addition, we want you to provide you with some time to complete the focus group we started in March, 2022 so that we can get your input re: meeting your needs and future directions, so please come prepared with your ideas.
