Utah Aspire Plus Individual Student Reports Uploaded to Skyward
Utah Aspire Plus Individual Student Reports (ISRs) have been uploaded into Skyward Family Access student portfolios by the Information Systems Department. These ISRs include all of the subscores for English, Reading, Math, and Science as well as predicted ACT scores. Each ISR has a code and instructions for parents to access the parent portal for more information.
Included with this memo are step-by-step instructions for parents on how to access these ISRs. Principals are encouraged to disseminate this information to parents via Skylert or by any other means deemed appropriate. Principals may also consider keeping copies of the step-by-step instructions in the main office to distribute to parents as needed.
Please contact Brooke Anderson in Evaluation, Research & Accountability with any questions about the Utah Aspire Plus ISRs.
You can find additional information about reporting and scores in the score interpretation guides – go to “score interpretation guides” http://utah.pearsonaccessnext.com/additional-services/ and in the TAM starting on page 116 http://utah.pearsonaccessnext.com/resources/training/UT1130483_SummSp21TAN_WebTag.pdf

SUBJECT:
Tableau Dashboard Releases
The following dashboards have been released for high school administrators:
Graduation and Dropout Rates:
School administrators may view graduation and dropout rates from 2012 to the Class of 2021 by student demographic for the district and individual high schools.
Utah Aspire Plus:
School administrators may view the following data for both the district and individual schools by student demographic for both the 2019 and 2021 test administrations:
- Proficiency and scale scores for English, Reading, Math and Science subtests
- Predicted ACT scores for English, Reading, Math and Science subtests
- Reporting category scores for English, Reading, Math and Science subtests
- Student participation
- Individual student data
Opportunity to Learn Survey:
As part of end-of-year summative testing, students who took the RISE math test or the Utah Aspire Plus science test. The survey asked several questions around the context of the type of learning environment students had access to throughout the school year (online, hybrid, in-person), the learning support they had access to at home as well as at school, and the access they had to educational technology and resources. The purpose of this survey was to provide some additional context around 2020-21 summative assessment results anticipating that learning would be affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. School administrators may view this student perception data by student demographic for the district and individual schools.
WIDA Access Growth Targets:
WIDA Access results and proficiency were released earlier this summer. Information on WIDA growth targets has now been added for both the district and individual schools. As part of the state’s school accountability system, schools receive points towards a school grade for EL students who:
- Reach proficiency on the WIDA Access
- Meet their WIDA growth target
School administrators may view data for both school report card indicators in this dashboard for each student demographic.
Please contact Ben Jameson in Evaluation, Research & Accountability for any questions about these dashboards or for access to your Tableau account.

2021-22 Volunteer Application Process
If a volunteer is interested in volunteering in a class or at the school, the following process must be followed:
Step 1
The volunteer watches the Code of Conduct video, completes the "Volunteer Application Form" and turns it into the principal BEFORE they schedule an onboarding appointment. Do not ask Volunteers to schedule a fingerprint appointment without principal approval.
Step 2
The Principal determines if the volunteer will have "Significant Unsupervised Access" to students. Not all volunteers need a background check.
Significant Unsupervised access includes field trips, one-on-one or small group classroom volunteer or other related volunteering.
Volunteer assignments which may not be considered "significant Unsupervised Access" may include a holiday party or an event with a large number of adults present at the school. In these instances, the school office would collect the volunteer application and code of conduct form and retain those at the school.
Step 3
If the principal determines there will be "significant unsupervised access", the principal must sign the volunteer form, give it to the volunteer and have the volunteer schedule a volunteer fingerprint appointment with Human Resources.
In order for HR to complete the background check, the volunteer MUST bring the volunteer form (SIGNED BY THE PRINCIPAL) with them to HR. Please do not allow volunteers to schedule a fingerprint appointment without a principal signing the volunteer form.
Volunteers who schedule an appointment without providing to HR the principal-signed volunteer application may be asked to reschedule their appointment.
Step 4
Once the volunteer is fingerprinted, HR will email the school once we receive the results. Please plan on at least two weeks prior to any volunteering event. Volunteers not completing the process prior to a field trip may not be allowed to attend.
