New teachers will attend Day 2 of our Open Up Math training, scheduled for October 26th (grades 4–6) and October 28th (grades K–3), both in the ASB Presentation Room.
Day 2 will deepen teachers' understanding of the structure of an Open Up Math lesson (L.E.D.S.).
Teachers will:
• Participate in a model lesson from the student perspective
• Analyze video clips from model lessons to better understand lesson structure
• Use backward design to plan a lesson
This information will also be shared in a JEM and emailed directly to teachers.
