Dear Principals:
It is time to order student Math Expressions workbooks for the 2022-2023 school year. Student consumables for K-5th grade were included in the 2019 math adoption. Each school site has already pre-paid for 5 years of these materials. We are currently in year 3 and the orders placed will be for year 4 of the 5 year purchase. In order to be ready to start the 2022-2023 school year, Mtn. States has asked that we submit the refill orders now with expected delivery prior to the end of the year. They have given us a firm deadline of March 31.
An administrative assistant from the Teaching and Learning Department will reach out to you next week to confirm your refill orders and student numbers for each grade level. They will have the total number of books ordered for your school for 2021-2022 year and the expected enrollment for 2022-2023. We realize these numbers are projected numbers. Please account for growth, understanding that orders surpassing the initial order will still need to be paid for. If you had significant changes to your school population please work with your area administrator to determine how your school budget will reflect those changes.
6th Grade textbooks will not be purchased by the district, so 6th grade numbers are not necessary. Teachers have access to PDFs and Word docs for all student materials in the Open Up Resources Program, including Spanish resources. Additionally, there is a robust Canvas course, including MasteryConnect practice problems, Cool Downs, videos and slideshows for every lesson. Many lessons also include Desmos, Geogebra, and Nearpod tasks that teachers can adapt and use as they like. If your school would still like to order student workbooks for 6th grade, we can share the order information with your administrative assistant and your school can handle that order directly.

Your school's 2022-23 LAND Trust Allocation can be found on the State Website. When you click on the "Upcoming Plan" your "Estimated Distribution for 2022-2023" can be found in the box "Funding Estimates" on the 6th line down. This is your actual distribution.
I can't stress this enough------please use the correct categories for the expenditures as you add them to your goals. They need to be distributed correctly. Don't put everything under salaries/benefits. Call Nadine Page (x88182) if you have questions of what category it should go under.

During the window, the employee must send the request through email. Please include your name, school, position, and the date you are requesting the leave. Requests left on voicemail or over the phone will NOT be accepted.

The final version of the 2022-23 TSSA Plan is due to be completed in your School Planning folder by March 25, 2022. Your budget allocation can be found on the "TSSA Plan" tab.
The JSD Board’s TSSA Framework establishes three priorities schools are to use in developing a TSSA Plan. The priorities include coaching, professional development, and school-based initiatives.
Each school has a personally-created School Planning folder in Google Drive that includes both last year’s and this year’s plans. TSSA Plans and the School Planning Folder can be accessed from 2022-2023 School Planning Tools. Following the School Planning Tool will ensure compliance with TSSA requirements.
The first tab in the School Planning Tool labeled “TSSA Overview and Checklist” provides guidelines and a checklist for completing plans. A quick checklist is provided below. The actual plan is found in the tab labeled “TSSA Plan.” 2022-2023 allocations are pre-loaded into each school’s plan.

Note: The column labeled "Amended Expenditures (entered by the school)" CANNOT be changed. Please ignore this column. The actual expenditures were provided by our Accounting Office to the State according to what you spent during the 2020-21 school year. Please complete this report, by the listed deadline, so the plans can be approved in a timely manner. After which you will be able to submit the 2022-23 Upcoming Plan.

This wasn't working in the fall so some of you may have completed this back in October, others have not. Please go into the "Council Membership & Signature Form" and check to see if you selected the date when the training was completed and then did the digital signature. If yours is not finished, please add in the date and your digital signature.

JSD Triennial Wellness Policy Assessment
Administrators, please fill out this triennial wellness survey that is required by USBE and Federal Mandate. The survey is in regards to Jordan School District’s Wellness Policy and its implementation throughout the district. Online survey responses are due by February 28th, 2022.

Teachers in grades K-3 are required to complete all training modules for Really Great Reading before the end of the school year. Teacher training links are active for 1 year from the date of the first log in. The first two modules should have been completed prior to the start of the school year. Teachers were paid the full stipend once these two modules were completed, however the expectation was that they would continue to complete the remaining modules throughout the year. The remaining modules were designed to become available as they were needed in the curriculum. This requirement was stated in Literacy Launch and in a JEM on August 25th. Please remind all teachers in grades K-3 to check their training status and complete all modules before their links expire.

If you would like to transfer budget between your postage, supply, textbook, technology supply and equipment budgets, please complete the form below, sign and return to Natalie Grange in Accounting by January 31, 2022. If Accounting does not receive this back from you by January 31, 2022, we will assume no transfer is requested. The next opportunity to make such a transfer is July 2022.
Licensed employees resigning/retiring at the end of the current contract year, that give official early notification of resignation/retirement, will be eligible for a tiered incentive. To qualify, notification must be submitted online on or before the following dates:
The incentive will be paid on the last regular paycheck. Notifications of resignation or retirement received after the dates listed above will not qualify for an incentive. The official District resignation/retirement notification form is found in Skyward under “Employee Access”. Please see District policy DP318 or DP319 for more detailed information regarding resignations and/or retirements. All provisional first full evaluations are to be completed and submitted on Perform no later than December 17, 2021.

Volunteer reports need to be submitted to Insurance Services.
Workers' Compensation insurance costs are based on numbers submitted by schools. It is important that this information be accurate and complete.
PTA figures must be separate from other volunteer hours.

It is time to develop the 2022-23 Safe Routes to School (SRTS) Plans for all elementary and middle schools, as required by Utah State Law, to be implemented at the beginning of next school year.

Dynamic Learning Maps (DLM) Testing Checklist
Attached is the DLM checklist for all special education teachers who are administering the DLM assessment to any of their students for the 2021-2022 school year. Please complete the required training and items from the checklist. Please return a copy of your certificate that indicates you have completed the online training as well as your checklist to the District Office by Friday, January 28, 2022. This form is also available online at Forms for Special Education Staff on the Special Education website.
If you need help completing any portion of this checklist, please contact the Teacher Specialist assigned to your school. If you are new to Jordan District and previously have administered the DLM in a different district please let me know so that we can get your user name moved over to Jordan School District.
NEW ADMINISTRATORS OF THE DLM : There will be a half day training to teach you how to administer the DLM. Friday, December 3, beginning at 1:30-3:30 p.m. This will be held virtually. I will send a link to those of you who need to attend this training. Look for emails from me with directions of things to do prior to our December 3rd training.
