The Utah State Board of Education (USBE) is now accepting nominations for the 2027 Sorenson Legacy Awards for Excellence in Arts Education (SLA Awards).
This is a fantastic opportunity to recognize outstanding leadership and teaching across Jordan School District. Awards highlight excellence in Dance, Music, Theatre/Drama, Visual Arts, and Film/Media, as well as specialized categories for administrators, exemplary arts programs, and elementary teachers who integrate the arts into general instruction.

Please share the nomination link and attached flyer with your staff and school communities. Final candidates for each category will be selected in December to complete a full application.
